At HMS Industrial Networks, we know our people are the key to our success. We take pride in nurturing a culture that’s inclusive, curious, and welcoming – where every employee is supported in growing both personally and professionally.

Our production site in Halmstad is one of our primary manufacturing hubs, delivering high-quality products to customers worldwide. We are now strengthening our Production Planning team and are looking for a Strategic Production Planner to play a key role in optimizing our end-to-end planning processes.

About the Role

The Production Planning Team is part of our Operations organization, working closely with multiple functions such as sourcing, testing, quality, and production development to ensure efficient and reliable supply chain execution.

Today, the team consists of four professionals with a shared responsibility: to deliver high-quality supply planning that enables our Halmstad site to perform at its best—from supplier to finished product.

As a Strategic Production Planner, you will perform daily planning tasks that keep production running  — while also driving longer-term development of our planning processes. You'll ensure these processes are robust, efficient, and continuously improving. A key part of the role will also be to drive the next steps in digitalization, including the implementation and use of AI within supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the continuous development and optimization of planning processes and supporting systems
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and work procedures
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Global Supply teams, sales offices, and suppliers
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, taking an active role in our Lean program (PEP), from idea generation to execution and evaluation
  • Explore, implement, and scale AI-driven planning capabilities, improving planning accuracy, decision support, and overall supply chain performance
  • Ensure high service levels and efficient capacity utilization across the supply chain

About You

We are looking for a structured and analytically strong professional with a passion for improving planning performance.

You bring:

  • Several years of experience in production planning and/or operational purchasing
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • A natural ability to create structure, optimize processes, and drive improvements

Given the broad stakeholder network—both within the organization and externally, locally and internationally—you are confident communicating in both Swedish and English, adapting your style to your audience.

Why Join Us?

  • Play a central role in shaping and improving supply planning at a key production site
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Be part of a culture that values continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Contribute to delivering products to customers around the globe
