At HMS Industrial Networks, we know our people are the key to our success. We take pride in nurturing a culture that’s inclusive, curious, and welcoming – where every employee is supported in growing both personally and professionally.

Are you motivated by turning complex customer needs into robust, high-quality technical solutions? We are now looking for a Custom Product Manager to lead and evolve our custom products offering, a role where technology, customer value, and collaboration come together.

In this role, you will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and commercial stakeholders to deliver customer-specific embedded solutions that make a real impact. You will combine strategic product leadership with hands-on involvement across the full product lifecycle, in an international and collaborative environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Custom Product Manager, you will take ownership of our custom products portfolio, leading a dedicated team to deliver tailored hardware and software solutions. You will be responsible for setting the vision and roadmap, while ensuring that customer requirements, technical feasibility, and business objectives are balanced throughout the product lifecycle.

The role is both strategic and operational, requiring close collaboration with Engineering, Sales, and customers across different regions. You will play a key role in shaping how we develop, deliver, and maintain high-value custom embedded products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of customer-specific custom products
  • Leading and driving custom development projects across hardware and software
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering to align technical solutions with customer needs
  • Acting as a key interface between customers, Sales, and internal stakeholders
  • Making informed trade-offs between time, cost, quality, and technical complexity
  • Supporting global collaboration and engaging directly with customers, including regular travel

ABOUT YOU

We believe you are a technically experienced and people-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, business, and customer value. You are comfortable navigating complex embedded systems and can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You bring a collaborative mindset, value diverse perspectives, and thrive in environments where teamwork and knowledge-sharing are essential to success.

We believe you bring:

  • More than 10 years of experience in project management and/or product development of embedded products (software and hardware)
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • A customer-focused, structured, and data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Comfort working in an international context, including regular travel
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (considered a strong merit)
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead, support, and collaborate across functions
