At HMS Industrial Networks, we know our people are the key to our success. We take pride in nurturing a culture that’s inclusive, curious, and welcoming – where every employee is supported in growing both personally and professionally.

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our R&D organization in Halmstad. If you're excited about driving product development, enjoy working with cross-functional teams, and want to contribute in a meaningful way – we’d love to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating product development projects, primarily within embedded systems for industrial communication. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with business goals and quality requirements. With a pragmatic mindset and structured approach, you will drive activities across many interfaces – including hardware, software, product management and operations.

The role is based at our Halmstad office, and we value a strong on-site presence while also offering a hybrid working model that supports flexibility and work-life balance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Plan, lead, and follow up R&D projects from concept to release.
  • Foster collaboration between hardware, software, product management, quality and operations.
  • Ensure documentation and quality assurance deliverables are in place, published, and updated.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by working with and evolving our Business Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with processes.
  • Navigate technical and organizational complexity with structure and confidence.
  • Lead audit preparations and compliance efforts (e.g. IEC standards).
  • Communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders – across teams, functions, and cultures.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a collaborative and solution-focused person who enjoys bringing structure and clarity to a changing environment. You stay grounded when priorities shift and can navigate evolving perspectives with openness and calm.

You communicate with empathy, listen actively, and aren't afraid to speak up when something needs to be said. With a strong sense of responsibility and a supportive mindset, you help your team stay focused and succeed — always keeping people and purpose in mind.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience leading cross-functional R&D or product development projects, ideally in technology-driven or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of embedded systems development, including hardware, software, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication or networking technologies is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies such as Agile, Stage-Gate, or Hybrid.
  • Experience with QA documentation, BMS processes, and technical standards.
  • Comfortable leading audits and working with standards like IEC.
  • Skilled in collaboration across departments, including product, supply chain, and customers.
  • Fluent in English, with Swedish proficiency an advantage.
  • Technical degree (BSc or MSc in engineering) is a plus.
YOU MIGHT THRIVE HERE IF YOU...
  • Enjoy making sense of complexity and helping teams move forward with clarity.
  • Feel comfortable when things change – and know how to adapt without losing focus.
  • Like working across teams, cultures, and disciplines to get things done.
  • Appreciate both structure and flexibility in your workday and in your team.
