We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Project Sourcing profile to join our team. When working with Strategic Project Sourcing at HMS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects by developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Global Sourcing Team is at the forefront of securing and optimizing the acquisition of material for HMS on a global scale. Comprising experienced professionals in strategic procurement and supply chain, the team plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of resources necessary for the success of our projects.

You will be involved early in product development projects to be able to control material selection and supplier selection against set long-term purchasing strategies and be responsible for ensuring that material is available for prototype and start-up production. You will also independently start and run special sourcing projects as well as create and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers.

In this role, you report to the Sourcing Director.

Responsibilities

When working with Strategic Project Sourcing at HMS, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor the global market for strategic components and invite suppliers with interesting solutions for future development projects
• Guide material selection in product development projects against established purchasing strategies to give us commercial, technical and flow advantages in the future
• Plan and initiate purchases from emerging needs in prototype projects
• Identify and develop strategic global purchasing cooperation with HMS customers and partners regarding customer-unique products
• Conduct supplier negotiations and draw up supplier agreements
• Together with the Commodity Manager analyze, drive and set commodity strategies
• Carry out spend and cost analyses
• To monitor BOM (Bill Of Material) costs in product development projects
• Work with supplier follow-up and supplier improvement
• Manage supplier-related sustainability issues to achieve HMS's overall goals
• Drive ERP questions from on behalf of the Sourcing team

ABOUT YOU

You are communicative, results-driven, and business-oriented with a good ability to develop and maintain a wide network of contacts both internally and externally. Used to leading projects and managing several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced company.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic sourcing or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with electronics sourcing requirements.
• Experienced in using ERP systems, MS Office and have good Excel skills.
• You speak and write English and Swedish very well.
• If you already have a network of contacts within the electronics field, it is advantageous.
