HMS enables valuable data and insights from industrial equipment, allowing customers to increase productivity and sustainability. We are now looking for a Software Student Intern to join our HMS Labs team in Halmstad, Sweden. At HMS Labs we drive innovation to ensure sustainable growth in our company.

In this role you will be working with hardware and software development under the supervision of our experienced engineers. As you develop you are expected to gradually work more independently.

Examples of possible development tasks:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Edge Computing
  • 5G, positioning and other wireless technologies

The position is for up to a maximum of 15 hours per week and the work schedule will be arranged so that it is possible to attend university studies at the same time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years studies within Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electronics (reading circuit diagrams, soldering, use of measurement equipment)
  • Experience in programming (e.g. C) for embedded systems.

Preferred experience/knowledge (but not required):

  • Computer networks
  • Internet of things
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Wireless communications
  • Cloud technologies
