HMS enables valuable data and insights from industrial equipment, allowing customers to increase productivity and sustainability. We are looking for an Embedded AI Software Engineer to join our HMS Labs team in Halmstad, Sweden. At HMS Labs we drive innovation to ensure sustainable growth in our company.

In this role you will work with various aspects of enabling data and insights from industrial equipment. This includes integration with machines and sensors, edge intelligence, wired and wireless communications as well as IT and cloud integration. AI and machine learning is part of the puzzle and can be implemented on the edge, in the cloud or as a distributed solution.

We are looking for a person who will have experience in firmware development with an interest in cloud-connected industrial applications in combination with artificial intelligence and edge computing. HMS is a rapidly growing company, so commitment to teamwork and leveraging outside resources to learn from and solve problems is a must.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Newly graduated or some years’ experience in embedded systems.
Embedded Linux
Python and C/C++
Experience in machine learning, mathematics and/or statistics.

Preferred experience/knowledge (but not required):

HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
In-depth knowledge of common standards-based communications, e.g., TCP/IP, REST, SOAP
Wireless technologies such as 5G, Bluetooth and WiFi.
Experience securing containers, container orchestrators, and microservices
Cloud security expertise across major cloud providers such as AWS and Azure
