We are seeking a Development Engineer to join one of our Software teams.

The Development Engineer will work in our highly collaborative development team developing software that’s used on world-leading industrial networks. Industrial applications rely on the performance of the industrial networks. As a result, our software must meet demanding requirements. Our software must provide fast data transfer, short cycle times, and low latency. In addition to speed, our software must offer protection and reliability. Industrial cyberattacks are increasing so our software must be armed with the latest cybersecurity measures. Our products are used in applications that run 24-7, sometimes for decades, and our products need to work equally well from the first day to the last day.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a software developer with some experience in embedded development or fresh out of university with the ambition to learn the profession.

Examples of responsibility and tasks:

• Maintain and develop great embedded software solutions for industrial communication.
• Actively work with our products' maintenance and maintain high quality of our products' code base that enables continued easy maintenance.
• Troubleshooting customer issues.
• Work with automated and continuous tests.
• Perform necessary validation tests to achieve high reliability and conformance status.

Required experience:

• Python
• Embedded C

Advantageous if you have worked with the following:

• Development or testing of physical products
• GIT versioning tool
• Gerrit code review
• Jira

We have a prestige-free working environment, where everyone wants to share their knowledge and help each other. We often work in teams of between 4 and 6 people depending on the project. We run an agile development methodology. There are short distances between decision and implementation. There are opportunities to influence a lot in our way of working.

We can work remotely several days a week, when necessary, we work at our joint office in Halmstad. We also regularly meet and celebrate successes, socialize in various activities, participate in book clubs, and developer forums, or from time to time participate in department Hackathons with the associated sugar rush and pizza coma.
