Want to join us in our quest to make the world of industrial automation more productive and sustainable? As Global Sourcing Director you will make sure we get the material we need to produce our products.

(Not to be confused with Global Sorcery Director. That’s another position. But in these times of component shortage, we actually do work magic.)

About us

HMS Global Supply Chain makes sure we get the necessary material to produce our world-leading industrial communication products. On time and at the right price.

We coordinate the strategical sourcing work with our different Business Units always striving to achieve synergies across the whole HMS organization. As coordinators, we play a crucial part in making sure we can actually deliver the products our customers order.

We’re looking for a great negotiator and strategic thinker

As Global Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for managing our global supplier base — a business-critical aspect of HMS's business.

You will work closely with our suppliers to build a solid understanding of the component market. Your aim is to know what components are used in big-tech and automotive, and where our components are used in the value chain.

You will manage an experienced, skilled (and fun!) team of five, interact with customers and suppliers, evaluate and develop procurement strategies and negotiate contracts – all aimed at maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.

You cooperate and network with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels and you use your communication skills to build relationships based on honesty, respect and trust.

About you

You are a senior executive with a technical background and a degree in engineering or economics. You have several years of experience in sourcing and supplier management. Most of this time on management level.

You  think big and then make things happen and you are used to driving change across an complex, international organization. You are business-minded and enjoy the negotiation process, always keeping a close eye on priorities, deadlines and expectations.

You are truly interested in technology and have solid experience of working with electronic components and EMS.

On a more personal level, you are a result-oriented and driving person who can communicate visions and strategies to people and inject energy into teams and projects.

Work location: At HMS HQ in Sweden, but can also be stationed in Nivelles, Barcelona or Ravensburg.

Awaiting you at HMS is a fun and challenging job where you will be able to develop your technical and business skills in a positive, fast-paced and international environment.
